AVA
Brief
AVA is conceived as an extension of the landscape, introducing everyday services into the Tbilisi Hills development. Located on a sharp corner between two streets, the project resolves a complex site condition by combining pedestrian movement, terrain, and program into a single continuous system.
The design is driven by the idea of uninterrupted flow. The garden above the site extends downward through a series of ramps, connecting the upper level with the street and allowing movement across the plot from multiple directions. The building is accessed from the roof, the upper floor, and the ground level, removing clear boundaries between architecture and landscape.
The ground floor accommodates a grocery market, while the upper level contains flexible commercial spaces. Under the ramps, covered areas are used for local vendors and for service access, integrating technical and delivery functions within the overall structure.
The material palette is reduced to stone-textured surfaces, glass, and dark metal elements. The building is designed to remain calm and integrated within its surroundings, forming a natural continuation of the terrain rather than a separate object.
