LUMMO
Brief
LUMMO is an interior concept developed for multi-unit residential buildings where apartments typically share identical layouts and furniture. Instead of creating different interiors for each unit, the project proposes a neutral, minimal architectural background that allows each apartment to develop its own identity over time.
The interior is defined by a restrained palette of warm wood, light stone, soft textiles, and integrated lighting. The space is treated as a continuous architectural volume rather than a collection of decorated rooms, creating a calm and flexible environment that can adapt to different residents and lifestyles.
The core idea of LUMMO is that individuality is created through atmosphere rather than through layout changes. Integrated LED lighting allows each apartment to change color and mood, giving every unit a different character while the architectural interior remains the same. Additional variation is introduced through interchangeable textile colors on sofas and dining chairs, allowing personalization without changing the furniture system.
LUMMO proposes a simple approach to collective housing: a consistent and timeless interior that becomes unique through light, color, and the personal life of its residents.
